Westchester, IL Kitchen Remodel, completed 2019. We see plenty of kitchens like these in the Chicagoland area! The client wanted to replace the peninsula with the double doors on each side for a more modern option. She wanted to remove the dust-collecting knick knack shelves to add some more floor area, and make a space to add a dish washer on the other side. In addition, she wanted to update the counter tops, backsplash, and all the appliances.

In order to add more storage cabinets in this small kitchen, we ended up removing the small broom closet that was not being used. You can see in the below photo where we patched the drywall prior to painting. We tore out the flooring, and replaced all the electrical and plumbing to bring it all up to code.

The completed kitchen is stunning! The dark cabinets and light countertops look amazing. The cabinets now go all the way to the ceiling. The new overhead and under cabinet lighting brightens the whole space. There is now space of a double fridge, and the extra cabinets allow for a microwave, and open shelving for display.
