Arlington Heights Gutted Bathroom Remodel completed 2022. These homeowners wanted to renovate their small hallway bathroom. We removed the tub and installed a standing shower with a seat. We updated the vanity, toilet, and flooring.
This bathroom needed a complete tear out. We found some minor water damage to the underlayment around the toilet and inside the tub area. In addition, the ceiling needed some drywall replacement. We prepped the wet area for the new shower to be installed. Whenever we convert a tub into a shower, the drain must be widened to make sure there is proper flow.
The finished bathroom is spectacular! For a small bathroom like this, coordinating grays and whites prevents it from being too visually cluttered. The vanity top is a neutral white quartz, while the doors are a warm gray. In the wet area, we installed some sneaky grab bars that are sleek and modern. The homeowners went with a glass panel rather than a sing door. This is a better option for this bathroom’s layout, as the door swings inwards.
