Libertyville, IL kitchen cabinet refacing completed in 2023. Refacing can be a great solution to give high quality or custom made cabinets an update. These homeowners had us replace their countertops and reface their cabinets. When refacing, we replace the doors and drawers and wrap the cabinet boxes in the same color. We even have the opportune to update hardware, such as roll out drawers in pantries for easier use.
The refacing process starts with removing the doors and drawers on all the cabinets. We remove the countertops and measure for new ones. In this case, we build custom additional cabinet boxes to fill an unused space. Once the countertops are in, the refacing process can begin. Thin luan is applied first to the outside of the cabinet boxes, and then the face so the seam is on the outside. Using a miter saw, a skilled installer will cut out the opens for the cabinets. Then we go through a install any upgrades, such as roll out trays. The final step is adding all the cabinets and soft close hinges.
The final kitchen is fantastic! These homeowners went with a timeless quartz top and left their gorgeous wooden floors. The cabinet faces are a minimalist shaker style. They love the additional cabinets and the roll out trays.
