Arlington Heights, IL all season sunroom, complete 2020. These homeowners had an ideal space for a sunroom between two exterior walls. Originally, a balcony had been positioned over the patio to partially cover it from the sun. The homeowners wanted a more functional space so they could better use the patio.
Before Pictures
This sunroom needed be raised in order to meet the sliding glass door into the kitchen. This eliminates the need to stop up or down to get into the space. The foundation is poured concrete with a wood frame on top. You will see below we removed part of the siding in order to join the roof below the upstairs window. The interior of this sunroom features a partial pine accent wall and exposed brick.
In Progress Pictures
The final sunroom features a studio style roof. The frame is made out of custom 100% virgin vinyl and 4″ thick insulation. This studio room is temperature controlled, and connected to the rest of the house’s heating and cooling system. We installed concealed wiring for the electrical, along with a dedicated circuit on the electric box.
