Naperville, IL three season sunroom, completed 2021. These homeowners started off with an awning, but wanted an upgrade. You’ll see in the photos below we removed the old patio concrete and dug a trench for the foundation. This process can be tricky depending on the weather, but we need it to be dry long enough for the concrete to cure. The metal mesh provides structure for the concrete to set correctly.
The finished sunroom is a Three Season Room, which means the room remains comfortable for the majority of the year. The insulation isn’t as thick as an all season room, but is perfect for the more mild seasons in Illinois. They went with a gable roof, also called an A frame, as it matched the pitch of the roof on the rest of the house.
