Long Grove, IL all season sunroom, completed in 2022. These homeowners wanted to built a sunroom addition next to their back porch. We removed the large windows inside the living room and created an opening where a patio door could go.
For this sunroom addition, we dug a deep trench to pour a new concrete foundation. The foundation must be able to handle the weight of the walls, roof, and all the windows. After the trench is poured, we pour a slab foundation on top to complete the floor. The large windows were removed before we started the walls and roof in order to install the sliding patio door.
The finished sunroom turned out fantastic! This sunroom addition features a gable style roof and a vinyl frame. The frame is fitted with 4″ thick insulation and double pane windows to maintain an ideal temperature through the year. You’ll notice custom glass at the top where the roof meets the window, which gives it a completed look.
