Skokie, IL small bathroom remodel, completed 2022. These homeowners had an upstairs dormer style bathroom they wanted to update. They wanted to remove the blue tile walls and replace the flooring. The sink is very small, while the wall has a lot of unused space. They wanted to replace the wet are with a nice tile surround.
We tore out all the existing drywall and wall tile. Because this bathroom is in an attic, it needed extensive insulation.Every time we remodel the wet area of a bathroom, we always replace all the plumbing to ensure no leaks. Then we mud in the tub, the floor, and the tile surrounds. The vanity and toilet come in last, along with all the fixtures and lighting.
The finished bathroom is immaculate! The new vanity and wet area are well coordinated to make the room feel brighter and bigger. The homeowner combined a white subway tile and a grey geometric pattern for a unique and fun look. We installed black floor tiles parallel to the tub to draw the eye back. The pop of green paint brings the whole room together.
